The gas relay is installed on the connecting pipeline between the oil tank cover (or box cover) of the transformer and the oil storage cabinet. This position can directly monitor the gas or abnormal oil flow generated by faults inside the transformer. When a fault occurs:
Working principle : The gas or oil flow generated by internal faults will push the open oil cup (for light gas) or baffle (for heavy gas) inside the relay, thereby triggering a signal alarm or tripping circuit, achieving protection for the transformer.
